Peterbilt 579 Bi-Xenon Headlight Upgrade Kit

SKU: N/A Categories: ,

This kit upgrades the headlights on a Peterbilt 579 to a bi-Xenon projector system with superior headlight performance while meeting light output requirements in FMVSS 108.  Get much more useful light on the road, and do it without creating glare for other drivers.

It includes everything you need to upgrade the light optics in your existing headlight housings. No baking, cutting, drilling, or gluing, and everything fits neatly inside the headlight housing. The benefit here is that for some reason you’re not happy with the kit, it’s just as easy to undo and go back to stock, and since we’re not putting any new holes in the headlamp assembly you’re not at risk of any leaks where dust or water might enter.

What’s in the box:

  • 2 Bi-Xenon Projectors with Clear Glass Lenses
  • 2 wiring harnesses that plug in to your truck’s factory wiring
  • 2 Morimoto XB35 ballasts, with mounting pads (factory halogen version)
  • 2 Morimoto XB35 4500K D2S bulbs (factory halogen version)
  • Printed installation instructions

What about other kits out there that don’t cost nearly as much?

Many HID retrofit kits use generic components, matching only a bulb base. Others include wiring harnesses that just adapt from one bulb type to another. Included ballasts are often of poor quality, and have trouble starting quickly, restarting hot bulbs, or have slight flickers that can be bothersome. They’re the type of kits that NHTSA has ruled can’t be made to meet the performance requirements in FMVSS Standard 108. This kit is different–among other things, it includes new projectors, designed for HID light sources.
